What is the cost of the conference per person?
Unsubsidized, this conference is $1,402 per person. Registration for all participants is substantially subsidized to make attendance more affordable for all. Because of this, actual ticket prices will vary between $250 (for early bird tickets purchased before June 1st) to $400 for full-price tickets, with discounts available for children, students, and those wishing only to attend one day of the conference.
Are there scholarships or financial aid available to attend?
FD/MAS Alliance will offer a limited number of scholarships. The application process for these scholarships will close May 15th, 2023, You may apply for a scholarship here.
We suggest that those who are interested in a scholarship first apply for the scholarship, but continue to reserve their room if they plan to attend the conference regardless.

Do children need to register to attend?
No. It should be noted that programming is not planned with children as an audience.
Is daycare provided?
No. Please note that programming is not designed with children as an intended audience.
Are meals included? Which ones?
Yes! Saturday and Sunday, breakfast. Saturday and Sunday, lunch. Saturday, dinner, and afternoon break refreshments.
Will there be time for individual medical consults?
There are a limited number of spots for medical consults on Friday, September 8th. Please indicate your interest in a spot on the registration form. Spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are there accommodations for dietary restrictions?
Yes. Please note your specific dietary restriction on your registration form. We can accommodate gluten free, Kosher, Halal, Vegan, Vegitrarian, and most allergy restrictions.
Does the hotel have ADA accommodations?
Yes, all hotel rooms are ADA compliant and 12 rooms have wheelchair shower access. If you need wheelchair shower access, please register as soon as possble and make your hotel reservations early. Can I attend the conference remotely?
No, however all presentations will be filmed and posted on the FD/MAS Alliance website after the conference.
Can I attend for one day only?
Yes. There is a reduced cost for tickets covering only one conference day.
If I have to cancel my attendance, will I be reimbursed?
Yes, there is registration refund insurance for inability to attend included in the registration fee. Please note, COVID is not covered. Please see the following for more information visit here.
What airports are nearby?
Attendees can fly into:

Is parking free?
Yes, hotel parking fees have been waived for this event.
Is there metro access nearby?
The Metro Red Line to DC from Silver Spring Station is .5 miles from the hotel. For more information, check the Metro website.
Will the conference be photographed or recorded?
Yes, we are asking you to sign a photo release. If you do not wish to be photographed or videotaped, you will be asked to wear a name tag clearly marked “Please, no photos or video.”
