FD/MAS Research Funding Opportunity & Webinar – PRMRP Information
The FD/MAS Alliance is alerting you to a 2023 funding opportunity: Fibrous dysplasia/McCune-Albright Syndrome was again named as one of the disease topic areas eligible for dedicated Department of Defense (DOD) research funding through the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP).
The mission of the PRMRP is to encourage, identify, select, and manage medical research projects of clear scientific merit and direct relevance to military health. The PRMRP fills important gaps not addressed by other funding agencies by supporting groundbreaking, high-risk, high-gain research while encouraging out-of-the-box thinking to improve the health, care, and well-being of all service members, veterans, and the American public.
Our goal is that FD/MAS researchers are awarded some of the $370 million allocated to the PRMRP. We work with PRMRP staff and help them convene FD/MAS patient and caregiver reviewers. Cecilia Dupecher, Ph.D., Program Manager, will review funding opportunities with CDMRP for scientists/researchers who study fibrous dysplasia/McCune-Albright syndrome on March 2 between 2-3 pm via Zoom. We will record the meeting and share it with scientists and researchers who may not be able to attend.
Interested investigators can subscribe to PRMRP-specific news and updates under Email Subscriptions on the eBRAP homepage at https://eBRAP.org. Please share this email with any of your colleagues interested in submitting a research proposal that addresses aspects of fibrous dysplasia/McCune-Albright Syndrome (FD/MAS) and helps support the PRMRP goal of enhancing the health and well-being of military service members, veterans, and their families. Please let us know if you plan to submit an LOI or proposal this year.
