Tools for Checking in with Yourself when Facing Uncertainty

Join us October 22nd, 2025 at 7:30 pm EDT (4:30 pm PDT) for an FD/MAS Community Meet-up: Tools for Checking in with Yourself when Facing Uncertainty.

Fibrous dysplasia, McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS) is a rare, chronic disease that presents significant physical and emotional challenges, including chronic pain, mobility issues, and visible disfigurement. Many patients experience profound isolation, misunderstanding, and emotional distress.

Research has shown us that addressing mental health and social-emotional well-being can have a significant impact on other healthcare outcomes, including pain.

Brigit Clancy is a licensed therapist who also has FD/MAS herself. After attending several Community Meet-Ups and sharing her experience, we’ve asked her to share some of her professional experience. Brigit will lead a discussion on “tools for checking in with yourself,” especially when facing uncertainty.

When we have tools and resources practiced and ready to go, we are better equipped to face challenging moments when they arise unexpectedly. Join us to build your mental health game and discuss ways to keep yourself steady when FD/MAS throws you for a loop.
