FD/MAS Global Awareness Week is a coordinated international campaign to raise awareness of fibrous dysplasia and McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS) and build support for public health and research that will improve the lives of FD/MAS patients. For FD/MAS Global Awareness Week, we like to show the world the incredible people who make up our community.
FD/MAS Then and Now
In 2025, our theme is #FDMASthenandnow
How old were you when you first joined the FD/MAS community? Do you remember what you thought and felt back then? How have you changed?
Since we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary as an organization, we’re taking the opportunity to look back and reflect.
As a community, we’ve become so much stronger. We’ve also seen some of our early efforts bring new scientific understanding and treatment options to light. We’re proud of our progress, and we see new ways we can still grow and change.
At first, a rare diagnosis can feel like a trap. #FDMASthenandnow aims to illustrate the ways our lives have evolved, changed, GROWN since diagnosis while also illustrating the need for improved treatment outcomes and the urgency for research and quality-of-life advancements.
We’re inviting patients and caregivers to respond to a short prompt with a photo that shows a glimpse into their experience. Submit your photo here or by tagging us in your social media post.
