Meet the Newest Member of the FD/MAS Alliance Team!

FD/MAS Alliance is excited to welcome Lori Butterfield, our new Program Coordinator joining the team in July. Lori has 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, where she has worked alongside dedicated professionals and volunteers at a variety of medical advocacy and research organizations. Over the past eight years, she has focused on developing patient support, education, and advocacy programs for a national foundation partnering with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to strengthen engagement and improve the patient experience.

Lori is passionate about building community.

She believes that patient-centered strategies are essential to advancing our mission. She has extensive experience creating youth programs, in-person and virtual education programs, and fostering meaningful peer connections. Building on the success of our Community Meet Ups, Lori looks forward to creating even more opportunities for individuals and families affected by FD/MAS to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Lori also recognizes the power of storytelling to inspire hope, raise awareness, and strengthen our community. She is eager to get to know community members and hear the unique stories of their FD/MAS journeys.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Lori now resides outside of Cincinnati, where she enjoys spending time with her adult children and granddaughter. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, and cooking.
